Traditional teachings help heal historical traumas, bring balance

Phillip Whiteman Jr. and his wife, Lynette Two Bulls, operate a horse ranch on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation and are offering their second annual workshop next month using the sacred horse as a tool to help people understand how to live a more balanced and rewarding life based on the Medicine Wheel Model to Natural Horsemanship they developed 12 years ago.

“We use our traditional life-ways and teachings to work with communities, families and youth to help in the healing process,” Two Bulls said. “Everything the medicine wheel represents comes to life through the horse.”
